  • I'm interested in the mathematical behavior of random discrete structures of the type that form the basis of models used in modern statistical applications, such as random networks, urn models, and gene-genealogies. Much of my work is concerned with limiting and approximating results as the structure becomes large, and for this purpose I frequently use and develop a technique called Stein's method.
